Biography

For thirty years on the Italian Dub Reggae scene, multi-instrumentalist, founder of Dubital Rankin’ Alpha has collaborated since his debut (and on several occasions) with international names such as Mad Professor and Zion Train.
Outside mainstream ‘Reggae Fashion’, he participated for many years in numerous Italian productions in the Italian and international Reggae and Dub scenes (Paolo Baldini, AFRICA UNITE, DUB SYNC, ALAMBIC CONSPIRACY, TRE ALLEGRI RAGAZZI MORTI, JAMBASSA, Palkoscenico, Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti, MARK ONE&B DUB, WORKING VIBES, BR STYLERS, Mighty Rulah, Militant Warriors to name a few).
Of 2010 his solo album “BABYLON IS FALLING” produced by Dubital and B-Dub. After a short break period, in 2013 he started his independent production path and founded Jam Ra Records label.
From the label sprang “Run For Cover – Rankin Alpha sings Lee Scratch Perry” (2016) [A real compendium of cover songs by the great Lee “Scratch” Perry’s huge discography which Rankin’ Alpha produced mixed and performed alongside The Clumsy Ghosts and Dubital. Arranged, performed, recorded and sung by Rankin’ Alpha & The Clumsy Ghosts].
Furthermore, a single for Vernon Maytone (leader of the legendary Maytones) “Save us Jah Revisited” and the album Science Magic Logic by Lee Scratch Perry, co-produced with Mireille Perry and Dubital (both 2017).
